Gjoa Haven Continuing Care Centre

The Gjoa Haven Continuing Care Centre is a 24-hour personal care home, which offers palliative care, respite care and sub-acute care. The project, located in the Arctic community of Gjoa Haven, Nunavut, is a single storey 10,000 sf. facility, which includes personal living spaces, areas for nursing and support staff, communal dining, meeting, and activity spaces for residents. The project’s remote location required that all building systems and components be delivered to the community via sealift.
