Igloolik Continuing Care Centre

The Igloolik Continuing Care Centre is a 24-hour personal care home, which offers palliative care, respite care and sub-acute care. The project, located in the Arctic community of Igloolik, Nunavut, is a single storey 10,000 sq. ft. facility, which includes personal living spaces, areas for nursing and support staff, and communal dining, meeting, and activity spaces for residents. The project’s remote location required that all building systems and components be delivered to the community via sealift.
